Your Child Will Thrive in a Natural Environment

Enjoying access to natural play spaces and learning about the environment and sustainability, helps develop your child’s connection to nature and the world around them.

Children love playing and learning in our indoor and outdoor environments, which are inspired by nature, using soothing natural colours and materials to create a tranquil and inviting environment – you can feel the sense of calm as soon as you enter the front door.

Your child’s early learning space

As our name suggests, we value the outdoor environment and ensure that each child has plentiful access to all that nature has to offer, just like you would at your local park. This extends to experience with real living things, and teaching your child about the importance of care, empathy and responsibility.

With our natural outdoor spaces and soft furnishings and use of warm colours, Paisley Park environments are designed to make you, and your child feel right at home.

Sustainability

Your child will learn about the principles of sustainability and the ways they can make a difference.

When it comes to mealtimes, your child will also learn where their food comes from through activities such as helping to tend the centre’s veggie gardens and ‘harvesting’ herbs, vegetables and eggs to give to the centre chef to cook.

Connection to Nature

Our centres have ‘family’ pets so your child will learn how to care for them, developing their empathy and sense of responsibility.

Your child can let their imagination run wild in our outdoor and natural play areas, including nature trails, discovery areas, creek beds, rock climbing walls and cycle paths.

Safety and Hygiene

The health and safety of your child is of critical importance to us.

Our centres are equipped with security systems that ensure only authorised people have access to our facilities.

Paisley Park staff and Educators receive ongoing training in health and safety, including first aid training.

We are meticulous about monitoring and maintaining the highest standards of safety and hygiene in our centres.

We review our practices regularly to ensure we are meeting or exceeding those standards.

Paisley Park

Responding to our children’s growing curiosity towards living things and life cycles, the team at Paisley Park Early Learning Port Adelaide (SA) have introduced project-based learning. Recently, children explored the life cycle of a frog through specimens of eggs, tadpoles and an adult frog, grew seeds together to record daily data and interpret the life cycle of plants. In addition, children practiced using magnifying glasses to discover our garden and describe natural changes. The project and our adventure will be ongoing, as we look forward new discoveries and practical learning. paisleypark.com.au/our-centres/childcare-portadelaide-sa/

At Paisley Park Early Learning Centre Tinana (QLD), we have a range of different animals to support children’s knowledge and understanding in sustainability, and caring for living things. Children had the opportunity to explore the worms from our worm farm, where we harvest their juice and use it to feed our growing vegetable garden. The children loved the wriggling worms in between their fingers, as chatted about how they feel in their hands. Confidently giving their scraps to the worms, the children were able to feed the worms and start the cycle of producing the nutrient rich liquid.

Paisley Park Early Learning Centre Maryborough (VIC), is excited to introduce Mellanie, our Sustainability Officer. Sustainability is important to us and Mallanie works with our Centre Educators to embed sustainable practices into our daily routines. Some strategies we have already established include turning lights, heating and cooling, off or down when not needed, giving food scraps to our Centre pets, growing vegetables and taking care of our plants, upcycling/reusing household items and using write and wipe pockets to reduce laminating. Welcome Mellanie!
