Wholesome, Chef-Designed Meals Your Child Will Love

With our approach to food and nutrition, your child will develop healthy eating habits. Setting them up for making smart eating decisions for the rest of their lives.

In our experience nurturing a child’s development begins with a strong focus on their physical wellbeing, and at the heart of this for us is a commitment to healthy eating.

Supporting Growing Bodies and Minds

Inspiring Your Child’s Appreciation of Food

Children learn more about food when they are involved in the growth and preparation of ingredients. Your child will have hands-on involvement in seasonal planting, caring for and harvesting plants used as ingredients in our daily menus.

Delicious and Healthy Seasonal Menus

Your child’s delicious and healthy meals are prepared by qualified and experienced Chefs, who can cater meals to individual dietary requirements. Our kitchens are well resourced to ensure daily meals are delivered using nutritious, fresh ingredients with a focus on both quality and taste.

Learning the Importance of Meal Times

Mealtimes are fundamental to the development of your child’s social and life skills. Children are encouraged to engage in conversation with their peers and use ‘real’ crockery and cutlery, as part of their growth and learning.

At Paisley Park Early Learning Centre Chadstone (VIC), we value rich learning experiences and believe that engaging with our Centre animals is a great way for children to learn about caring for other living things. Our enrolled children are curious learners, and enjoy going to the chicken coop every morning, to check on our chickens Seeka and Strawberry, making sure they have fresh food and water, and collecting freshly laid eggs. After collecting the eggs, the children carefully take them down to our reception area, where the eggs are available for our families to take home and enjoy. Having animals at our Centre encourages children to have gentle interactions with them, helps children build a sense of connection to their environment, and teaches them about nature and the difference between wild and domesticated animals. In addition, pets can help children develop self confidence, build self-esteem and social skills, and overcome fears.

Our recent Science Week activities, saw the children at Paisley Park Early Learning Centre Malvern East (VIC),eagerly participating in an exciting experiment called 'Walking Colours'. This hands-on activity involved placing paper towels in cups of water with different food colouring, allowing the children to observe how the colours travelled up the paper towel and mixed together. The experiment was a fun way of exploring science in action, whilst providing a vivid demonstration of capillary action, and deeper understanding of how liquids move and mix, capturing the children's curiosity and imagination. Science Week was a wonderful opportunity for our young learners to discover scientific concepts in a playful and memorable way, fostering their natural curiosity and love for learning.

Today our Picasso Room children at Paisley Park early Learning Centre Chadstone (VIC), were mesmerised by the volcano eruption experiment. Room leader Anastasia carried out the experiment explaining to the children that a volcanic eruption is the expulsion of gases, rock fragments, and/or molten lava from within the earth through a vent onto the earth's surface or into the atmosphere. Furthering the children's interest, Anastasia showed a video of the largest volcano eruptions in the world. The children then gathered at designated activity tables where resources were available for their own volcano eruption experiment. Children delighted in using vinegar, baking soda, some red food colouring, some sand to make real volcanos. You too can make this experiment at home by following these simple steps:

1. Combine the vinegar, water, dish soap and 2 drops of food colouring into the sand volcano.2. Use a spoon to mix the baking soda slurry until it is all a liquid.3. Eruption time! … Pour the baking soda slurry into the sand volcano quickly and step back!#PaisleyParkChadstone#EYLFOutcome4COnfidentLearners#NQSQA1ProgramPractice ... See MoreSee Less
