As parents, building a strong bond with your child’s Educators is vital for their early development. We know from your feedback how important this is to parents as well.
We’ve been exploring and introducing new ways for families and Educators to get to know each other better across our centres. We’ve now collected our best tips for parents to get to know your child’s Educators better…
Attend Centre Events
Come along to our centre events such as our Community Fun Days or Teddy Bears Picnic events. You can spend time with your child’s Educators in a less formal setting and also meet other parents in the community or in your child’s room. And these events are lots of fun for your family!
Communicate Regularly
At drop-off and pick-up, try to allow some time to have a conversations with your child’s Educator to check in on your child’s day. Keeping in mind you might need to allow a little extra time if you’re coming at a peak time when many families are picking up or dropping off.
Participate in Activities
Come along to our in-centre activities such as Date Nights, Get to Know Your Educator events and family events such as Fathers’ or Mothers’ Day.
Attend Parent Seminars
Participate in learning opportunities to understand early childhood development and effective ways to support your child’s growth through our parent seminars.
Attend One-on-One Meetings
Attend the one-on-one meetings we schedule with you to discuss goals for your child’s growth and development and raise any concerns you may have.
Give Feedback
Expressing gratitude and recognition for Educators’ efforts and dedication to your child’s growth means a lot to them. Our Educators care for each child as an individual and give a lot of themselves every day. They love to hear your grateful appreciation and will also be open to discussing any concerns you have.
By embracing these strategies, you can develop a deeper relationship with your child’s Educators and create an enriching learning environment for your little one.
